Adam's inspiration for the doctorate degree he hopes to attain some day.

This past week the whole Knight family traveled to Colorado to celebrate Adam's dad's graduation with his doctoral degree. We are so proud of Ed and the perseverance and time he put into this endeavor!

To celebrate this accomplishment, us, Adam's parents, and his brother Chris and his wife Jessica all spent a week at Estes Park, CO. We ate up the cool weather and the slower pace of life. Needless to say, it was a refreshing vacation that rejuvenated us all, only to come back to 100 degree Texas heat.

RyRy part II

We can't get enough of this kid! I know we are biased, but we think he is the cutest thing ever. With his fair skin, reddish hair, blue eyes and always rosy cheeks, he has captured my heart forever. Rylan's laugh also brings us such joy. He loves to be suprised and will shriek with gut busting laughs. I can't say it enough...I love this kid!

Beware: Extreme cuteness ahead! Our little RyRy just gets cuter all the time. These are already a little outdated, as he changes all the time.

What we have been up to lately

1. Over Mother's Day weekend the three of us travelled to Austin to celebrate the holiday with Virginia, Adam's mom. We had a great dinner at the Oasis.

2. Our friends the Tomlinsons and the Swayzes are both due with baby boys in July. Two weeks ago we had a great joint boy shower at the park by our house. Randy caught a great pict of my two boys at the shower staying out of the sun!

3. LAUGHING!!! So glad Adam caught this picture. This is the precious baby that we are loving more and more every day.

4. All smiles :) Now that Rylan's reflux problems are more under control, this is is usual happy self. Man we love this kid!

My two sports fanatics zoning out to ESPN.  Rylan LOVES tv...especially sports!  I have no idea who he gets that from.  Don't worry, we try not to let him watch it, but he will make a good buddy for his daddy someday.

Here are more pictures!  This week Rylan started eating rice cereal and it has made all the difference in the world.  He is more regular, less fussy and less spit up!  Overall, happy baby=happy mommy and daddy!

Our friends the Gammills came for a visit to SA.  It was just what our soul needed and we can't wait to see them again soon.

Sorry friends and family for the long pause in posting pictures.  Both of my computers have bit the dust and so I have been unable to post in quite some time.  I am slowly getting caught up on pictures when Adam is home and I can use his.

New things

Rylan has been busy this week with many new things. He had his first night staying with Adam's parents while we went to the coast. He also is learning to suck his thumb. He mostly sucks on his whole hand.

We also borrowed a mega swing from some friends. We kept insisting that he doesn't like swings, since he cried every time we put him in his little swing we have. However, the moment we put him in the "daddy of all swings" he immediately stopped crying and got happy. I guess what he was trying to say was "I don't like cheap swings mom and dad! Get me the big one!"

He has also started to stick out his bottom lip and whimper. If something upsets him he will do this but in the next second might be smiling again. Oh the drama!
